Stage 1

Welcome to Newcastle University.

This session will briefly introduce some of the many IT facilities available to you.

In this session, you will learn to make academic posters that convey just what you need them to and draw in the audience while following any guidelines provided by your programme.

This short tutorial, and related materials, will demonstrate a number of techniques in finding, managing and creating images for use in documents, posters and presentations.

In this session, you will be using some of the features of Word to format documents easily and consistently and import figures and tables from other sources.

Stage 2

In this session, you will learn to make patient information leaflets.  Patient information leaflets provide essential information on how to use medication safely, or manage lifestyle changes following medical or surgical intervention or illness.

In this session, you will revise tools covered in Document Management 01 last year, and see how these tools can be used for managing your Oral Environment essay.
