Stage 1

Welcome to Newcastle University.

This session will briefly introduce some of the many IT facilities available to you.

In this session, you will be manipulating data to produce tables and graphs. You will learn how to calculate a variety of statistics and format a table in APA Style.

Joint Honours w/Psychology students, welcome to Newcastle University.  This session will briefly introduce some of the many IT facilities available to you.

This tutorial will give you the skills necessary to develop and deliver an effective PPT Presentation.

Images play a very important part in your document but come in all different sizes and formats.  This session provides support in creating and managing a wide range of images within your document.

In this session, you will prepare an example essay ready for submission. You will complete a literature search and store the references in EndNote, format a Word document using a range of specific techniques and insert references throughout the document.

Stage 3

This course supports Stage 3 students in using the NU Reflect system.

In this session, you will be using the existing IT skills that were covered in your first year, and you will also practice using some of the more advanced tools within Word that are essential for preparing your dissertation.

This course will take you through a number of aspects of Word that can be used to create a professional and high-impact curriculum vitae.

In this session, you will learn to make academic posters that convey just what you need them to, drawing in the audience while following any guidelines provided by your programme.

This tutorial will give you the skills necessary to develop and deliver an effective PPT Presentation.
